Cyprus is subject to a macro climate and is located in a semi-arid climate zone. Because it is a Mediterranean island, its summers are dry and hot, while winters are warm with low rainfall. The annual average temperature in the island is 19.0 C°. July is the hottest month with January being the coldest. It generally rains in October and March.

Cyprus has a rich and beautiful flora that is evident throughout the year. The climate is suitable for oranges, lemons, mandarins, grapefruit as well as watermelons, many vegetables along with olive and locust trees.

Moreover there are eucalyptus and locust trees on the coastal areas and pine trees with a wonderful aroma. The flora is ideal for raising goats and sheep.
