Provinces
Northern Cyprus consists of 5 provinces: Nicosia, Kyrenia, Famagusta, Iskele and Güzelyurt. Nicosia is the capital and the country’s largest city.
The total area of Northern Cyprus is 3.355 km2, which corresponds to 36.5% of the whole of Cyprus.
Provinces of Northern Cyprus, their areas and populations are as follows;
1. Nicosia (Capital) ( 513 km² – 98.739)
2. Kyrenia (690 km² – 73.577)
3. Famagusta ( 997 km² – 69.839)
4. Güzelyurt (381 km² – 31.254)
5. İskele ( 774 km² – 23.356)
